You right, that shyt does happen. I honestly think that says a lot more about the state of gaming. We are currently in a heavy over-saturation of good games. That's why we see games like Rayman get discounted quickly which is in turn why gamers are much more willing to wait for discounted prices. *Shrug* it's a buyer's market and a good time to be a gamer.

The Puppeteer price was dropping from like 2 weeks after it dropped to now. I kept saying "I'ma cop that" but then I'd give it another week since I had ish to play. I think I wound up copping it for 7 dollars and it's one of my favorite joints out.

I don't understand this line of thinking. If the game is that good shouldnt you want to support it a full price?

How the hell would I know it's good before I cop? I heard good things, but the price kept dropping so I was skeptical and now I'm just confused about why it needed price drops at all. I do find that when I shout it out to people as something worth trying, they're a lot more receptive to a fairly unknown title at 10 dollars than 40...so now I can actually talk people into giving it a shot.

You'll never know if a game is good before you cop. But I think it's worth the risk if you know a game looks appealing to you.

That's kinda the point of this thread. These are the type of games people say "I'll wait to buy it" but that's exactly why we get so many cod clones. These games desserts first day cop consideration, just like plenty of others.

This thread is stupid because a game's age is relative to the gamer. If I've never played a game that released 2 years ago it's a new game experience when I play it, so I could care less.

Now that I think about it, I have to start inFamous 1 and 2 soon before that PS4 joint drops.

I finished my launch xbone games months ago. What is the OP smoking?? There is no such thing as a backlog on a Xbox One :heh:.

A lot of games look appealing to me, not many are worth 60 or even 40 dollars. Colonial Marines looked appealing as hell, thank God I played wait and see instead of shelling out money right away.

I was never like this before. I'd buy the one or two games I was interested in and go hard til I was done with em. closer to the end of the last gen, the sales and free games racked up and now I got a bunch of unfinished games I'll probably never get around to completing (or even starting to begin with).

but I remember dudes on projectcovo talkin about buying brand new games and they're still in the wrapper months later. that never made sense to me - my backlog is all old (to me) games that were $19.99 down to $free.99

I'm still going through PS2 games.

:yeshrug:

Just finished Tomb Raider Anniversary. Having a backlog is great. It's also fun to revisit older games in general. I still have fun with them so why not play them?

That's also probably attributed to being a grown man now, and most likely gainfully employed, so you can buy games as much as you want. Not like when we was kids relying on birthdays and good report cards for new games.
