100% fact. You graduate college but, still gotta beg the white man for a job.

Which means even with all your fancy degrees and education, you aint shyt and aint worth shyt unless a white pays you for that knowledge

That's the difference between real wealth (i.e. ownership) and what black people call success.

Exactly esp the first and last sentence

Ok I respect that, but he's not wrong. Maybe I should explain it another way, as a black man I've seen Asian, white, even Latino guys I've known who got passed down the family business from their pops. That's just not the case for most black men. If we don't start businesses, then our sons and daughters aren't gonna get shyt passed down to them either and are gonna go through the same thing we did of having to rely on white men for jobs. Some of us, very few but some of us, don't want that. i don't get how some of you can scoff at that, think it's weird or try to discourage nikkas from doing it. What's crazy about some of us wanting to have our own that can we can pass down instead of following the tradition of just working in what white ppl own?
I understand what you are saying but I am not having kids so it really does not apply to me

Its time kids coming out of high school say fukk going to college for 4 years to end up in 20k debt and no job to work for. Get a tradeskill or certify in something that will get you a job. fukk the social norm called college and spending 4 years for nothing when you could be working full time at 21 with a tradeskill

I'm around a year and some change in right now :whew:........:blessed:

Hate to say it but we are the only race who will straight up argue with another nikka who dares to say starting companies is important.

I've seen the same reactions in other places when one black male starts encouraging entrepreneurship among other black ppl.

We'll get offended and mad and all that shyt. List a bunch of reasons why starting companies is bad and why it's better to rely on white ppl for jobs. Etc

Businesses and group economics is just normal shyt in other groups, nobody else gets angry offended and up in arms about it, but we will argue against it til the end of time. nikkas wanna be the white man's subordinates forever and don't wanna build anything of our own. I bet even when I'm old as fukk or even after I'm dead, this still will be the same.

From my experience people get mad(defensive) because they feel a personal attack is being made on their specific lifes choices/decisions as oppossed to simply making a critique on the overall state of black economics.

Simply put: In their mind they hear...
"Every career goal & aspiration you(personaly) ever worked for is wrong. You need to stop and start a business instead of working for other people(white people)"

That is typically the idea they argue against... even if you actually never explicitly stated such a thing.

The only thing they really need to say is...
I don't have any goods or services I want to sale and/or I can't think of any business ideas.:ehh::yeshrug:

:jbhmm:I will say as a comunity there needs to be a funding mechanism. Even if you personally aren't in a position to start a business, as a community we should value those who are in a position enough to fund the base capital needed. You know how hard it is to fund my setup ...even though the proof of concept is there :sadcam:

I've built the ground floor myself but to expand I and people like myself need serious funds. Such a situation wouldn't be so bad:whoa: if not for the abundant "I got mine ...you get yours" mentality:stopitslime:

People living below the poverty line can pool money to float a church for years, but people making 40k+ a year can't pool money to spur business growth :patrice: .....................:what:

Now why would those people making 40k+ pool money to spur business growth if they don't actually value buessiness growth ...on the strength that "hey why do we need businesses, I got mine without starting one so they can't be that nessesary" Which leads back to the OP point.

That not enough people value economic institution building. While too many value "I have food, housing, clothing, some trinkets, and family ...I'm good(reguardless of the community/world context which that "i'm good" comes in):jbhmm: .........................:yeshrug::francis: Then when you attack that value premise they again assume you are attacking their personal lifes carrer choices :snoop:(back at square one):martin:

Solution: Do
If you have no business ideas but value business growth in the black community then find a business idea you personally like and provide funds(hell i can do some good with even $300). If it's a large sum see if you can do some kind of profit shareing deal.

Solution: Don't
Have an existential crisis because you feel you might be a hypocrite if you value black business, but don't personally have one ...and as a result tear down the idea of black business growth to avoid (feelings of hypocracy in/precieved attacks on) your lifes choices(see do above).

Solution: Don't

not value black business growth
