Your good, that's actually a decent take. I haven't heard of it like that. My counterpoint to that would be if rap and hip hop disappeared tomorrow. It would be something else. Like a regional dialect, or terms/words we use, the way we wear our hat, or zip our jackets. Something.

I'm old enough to have heard white people called names by other white people if they smoked menthols rather than non menthol cigarettes. It'll always be something. As long as we exist, there will always be something.
