Been telling ppl this is the next wave.

Land is cheap as fukk.

Youre going to have mini communes popping up everywhere. You can get 10 acres for 10K, split between 5 families. Modular style houses. Solar and propane system. A well with treatment capabilities and a cpl acres for farming/greenhouses.

I like the idea of self sufficiency. Don't like living that far from cities right now, but cool place :ehh:

@Ezekiel 25:17 what do you think as a house builder?

You didn't have to mention me, I already clicked on the thread, I love anything construction:jawalrus: I think it's a great idea, anything to lessen the environmental impacts. Also a great way to get away from the rat race. I understand city folks, but imagine the money you'd save with hardly living expenses. Design wise I like it, it's not like those cookie cutter homes in boring suburban neighborhoods. The vast open landscape, the fresh air, the sunrise and sunset:ahh:

I'm not a house builder btw, I work for a commercial contractor.

I kinda doubt it, many people brag about the concrete jungle, which I can understand. Maybe when you in your 40s then you move into something like this.

If I had to choose I'd probably be in the city till my mid 30s then move and get away from it all. The city life seems to take a toll on you.

I wish TheColi was a better community. I’d love to link up with with 6figures brothers and buy a huge plot of land. Then slowly develop our own community. We wouldn’t have to be best friends, just black men on the same page. They have plots of land for cheap in the West especially Nevada and Az. You gotta figure out how to get water out there. Or you can go into Alaska or Idaho. Even parts of West VA.

Not sure about AZ, I want green landscape.

Have you thought about using Meetup? Lots of black groups on there

Look at this listing. https://www.landwatch.com/Union-County-New-Mexico-Farms-and-Ranches-for-sale/pid/336470526

,350acres for a - little over 4,000,000. That’s about $500 an acre. That’s about 12sq miles. You could make plots of land 10 acres each for 5k. Then have black owned contracting companies come in and do all the infrastructure. Problem is what would the people there do for work. You could have farms and gardens for food but there would have to be some sort of manufacturing or online sales going on.

I work remote now in digital marketing. If you could find enough folks with a remote work salary to supplement the income needed for the infrastructure, it could definitely work.

You need everyone to be on their purpose if you do something like this as a community.

Everyone would also need a Plan B and C in case they lose their income.

You also don't want some you trust to leave and now you gotta vet anyone would wants to buy the next house.

Doable, but so many contracts would have to be signed.:wow:
