If you live in the only city that has these at the moment and you see the cop chasing you then decides to pull into the drive thru halfway I think it will be easy to put one and two together. Plus most people get paranoid after doing stuff and check they car, that tracker is hard to miss, let alone you might hear a thud on ya car when it sticks.

And you can't stop in the middle of the chase to pull it off. I doubt they're just gonna watch you stop. They're still going to pursue you after they shoot the thing, just not as closely.
