Future ecently spoke on the challenges he faced when trying to get Pharrell Williams to add his verse on ‘Move That Dope’. The Atlanta rapper explains how Williams was worried about his image and the repercussions when recording as track with that subject matter.

According to Future, Williams questioned himself when working on the song, because he didn’t want any backlash against him.

“[Pharrell] was like, ‘Man, I don’t know if I should do this, ’cause I don’t want, like, a big backlash on me. I love this song, but I don’t want a backlash,’” Future adds. “I was like, ‘Man, no, it’s a positive message. The verse is telling people to let everything go. You have a message that’s positive throughout your verse. I think people need to hear that, ’cause your voice is such a big voice in hip-hop.’ And he was down with it in the end.” (HipHopDX)

I would have respected it if he said "I shouldn't be on this song because I know nothing about selling dope", but this fakkit was worried that his CAC following wouldn't respect him :stopitslime::camby:
word, being scared of a "backlash" is damn near the weakest excuse you can make if you call yourself a true artist of anything imo :scusthov:

P saying that shyt just makes me appreciate having nikkas like Kanye in the game :obama: that nikka gives no fukks
