I never liked how they introduced new characters by having them crush the primary villain of the previous saga with ease.

Trunks killing Frizea with a few swing of the sword when Goku needed to use spirit bomb, kamehamehas, SSJ, etc.

Frizea was suppose to the strongest in the universe and to have him treated like deli meat

and Pikkon bodying Cell with a kick when he had to be defeated by Gohan being coached by Goku and other Z fighters trying to distract

Its like using a year to build up Yokozuna to be a monster and fearsome character only for him to lose after a few moves in the biggest match of the year.

Future Trunks had that Z Sword that Mystic Gohan was fukkin wit so maybe thats what gave him more strength. But yeah, Trunks became a fakkit when he grew up. Just one of the many reasons I wouldn't watch GT.
