The irony is, he NEVER liked Trump.
I think the idiots on the conservative side that propped Trump up thought this could be a money play, while getting some of the right wing shyt they wanted passed; basically politics for profit. To give fault to the Left, they propped Trump up even though he was an absolute buffoon and thought they could use that to their political advantage.
Noticed this with Bill O'Reilly who did an interview with I think Jon Stewart in 2009 or 2010 and wouldn't confirm if he voted for Obama. The way he responded, I'm fairly certain he voted for Obama because I'm assuming or he implied he thought Palin was batshyt crazy, but he couldn't say that for his audience. Really confirmed it after the Dominion voting scandal and the pundits messages got released.
Fox is an entertainment company, not a news organization. Not saying they aren't right wing, but I think many of them realize this has gone off the rails and are afraid to really say anything because their livelihood would end, you can see it in anyone who HAS said shyt about Trump conservative or not, is no longer at the network. People are very malleable when their livelihood is on the line.
