The 2004 olympics taught us why he avoided superstars though. He sucks when he actually has them.

They were lazy bums unwilling to play larry brown basketball
:childplease:

He is solely responsible for that loss. People gave a whole lot of heat to the players, but he had a solid squad that could get it done.

LeBron, Wade, and Melo were playing well even at their young age. AI, Marbury, and Duncan were in their prime

Amare just came off a 20 and 9 season as well

Pop should have shoved Larry B aside and let him take over that squad

He's a great coach, he took the fukkin Bobcats to the playoffs, but he's a huge scumbag.

Well. In my eyes, I've always considered Sheed a tremendous basketball player...

Superstar? Perhaps not.....But he was better than good

I guess u mean as far as intangibles/potential, 'cause the numbers, season and post-season, tell methat if he wasn't good, he was bum-diddy-bum-da-dang-dang-diddy-diddy :stylin:

I'm assuming you never saw him in his prime

He was legit in Portland, peaked in the high teens, but his reboundin' numbers were always :flabbynsick: and his shot selection was poor a lotta the time, and didn't fully commit to defense; with his potential and skillset, he shoulda been much greater. @ his peak he was very good, his career overall, he was good. :ehh:
