Former Bad Boy artist, "G-Dep," also known by his real name, Trevell Coleman, spoke to DJ Vlad about why he decided in 2011 to confess to a murder he committed during a robbery attempt in 1993. Although, the rapper had gotten away with the crime for almost 18 years, he says it didn't feel that way to him, "I didn't feel free and clear." He explained, "Every day, I was faced with this memory and this heinous act, that really didn't have to happen."

We all made jokes about it... But I don't know if I could live with the guilt of killing someone without coming clean.

Unless it was a self defense action.

No shame in saying so

If you dont have sociopathic/psycopathic traits, killing somebody who dont deserve it is going to fukk with you mentally. So many killers end up fukked up, crackheads etc. because they cant deal with it.

I remember him saying in his interview that he used to do drugs to runaway from the guilt of it

I never been in his situation so I can't accurately speak on it but me knowing myself tells me that idgaf how much my conscience is getting to me. I'll play the game, find a hobbie, find a bytch, something...Smoke a blunt and all that conscience shyt is suppressed for some hours. I'd figure it out, without telling on myself after all that time

listening to this now. I dont think going to jail is gonna help the situation. I get that confession is good for the soul. But you being in jail isn't helping anyone. It wont bring the person you killed back to life. Ask god for forgiveness and pray .Keep it between you and the man above. No reason to bring the judicial system into it.
