The last song with Joe Hooker "Nothing Gonna Stop Me", that is too scratched to get on my Itunes

Always, I thought Dep's rhymes stopped short of being great enough for the production, he never had the edge of Shyne, or Black Rob, or the urgency to really shine on the beats.

I bought the G-Dep album in November 2001, at the height, or near, of my Shyne mania, so I had already heard most of that verse on some freestyle floating around my Napster era mp3's, and the hook was always a BIT much for me. That was a really solid album though, with maybe some of the last of that iconic Bad Boy/Hit Men production, and a handful of classic songs.

I know that freestyle you talking about, i've tried to find it years later to no avail. You have it still?

Dep had the rare combination of effortless, laid back delivery and complex rhyme schemes, he was a remarkable talent.

Listening now, I can't find the freestyle, but all those verses kind of run together to me now, I can't remember where those bars are from. It could be I was mistaken.

He spit that first verse on a 7 or 8 minute radio show clip amongst other verses over various beats.

All I can remember was there was a female host who sounded Angela Yee (perhaps even was) and he got mad at the deejay for cutting up the beat and messing his flow at one point.

Was it the ones over the Chronic 2001 beats, and Tha Eastsidaz "If You Got Beef"? I went through those, and didn't hear it. I still have a lot, but back in 2001, my unreleased Shyne collection was probably more complete, with real audio files, and Limewire, I had all those rare freestyles and unreleased tracks.

Nah it was more New York mid to late 90's instrumentals. Off top i can't remember any particular beats.

One rap i remember 'Ayo ya let G-Dep in you just let trouble in, hear sirens but my team keep bubbling, something something something ya muttering, like joe ya stuttering, lemme get this full clip and come again. yo im from the gutter etc etc.

Ain't much to go off, apologies.
