Most people ain't into high fashion. Me personally, I think expensive watches for instance looks tacky and is predominantly a mugs game to be spending mini fortunes on inanimate objects that hold no real value other than for its social perception.

I need a watch because it tells me the current time and the date -- that's it.


They're still being sold so people must still be buying them. I believe 10 years ago it was just a huge marketing campaign from Casio because they introduced the then new neon colourways that everyone was rocking and introduced some new technical features. I don't think they're "out of fashion" just it ain't apart of pop culture anymore.

I still see relatively young niccaz sub 35 wearing them in the city.

That's a tacky watch. I was talking specifically about the one in my OP. G-Shock 5600. I should've been more specific. It's a minimalist design and it can withstand heavy everyday use which is all I ask for.

I stated in a previous post that I already have one fairly expensive watch that I was gifted (Omega De Ville). I don't even know the cost but I do know it's a luxury watch. I would never wear this watch for the type of work I do.

This is like a beautiful marriage between Casio's 80s classic and the popular G-Shock watches but with a more streamlined design.
