Game flipping is not worth it unless you can buy the game for the low and quickly flip it. If you are going to sit on a game hoping that it will increase in price, your money would have been better put into actual investments.
I get it's likely minimal if you count the time it takes for that value to appreciate, but it could be a decent investment if it's a classic game. I see sealed copies of Final Fantasy going for thousands as well as unopened NES games.

Even if that's true, would you rather hold onto games for decades so they can hopefully increase in price or put it into an investment with a history of giving you returns?

@Responsible Allen Iverson is right and I've been telling the Arcadium the same thing over and over.
VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT AN INVESTMENT
I see cats whine way too often about gamestop trade prices and their general inability to get back the $60 they put into it.
My advice, sign up for Best Buy GCU or Amazon prime.
Games rarely ever shoot up over $60 in resale value and as the industry continues to advance the instances of those rare games that end up worth something will decrease drastically.

How do you feel about buying a console n Flipping it ?

because I have two switches pre-order but I'm starting to think it might not even be worth it

I think you'll probably profit $100. Maybe $150 if they're thirstin.

Now if you got the Zelda: Master edition, you could probably flip that for double. There is a high demand and very low supply. That's where you'll make your money

Oh okay. Hmm.
Not sure of that's worth it.
Don't feel like spending that 3 and then doing the Craigslist shyt.
We shall see.
But it might come super easy to me so may keep it.

$100 isn't worth it for me. But if Zelda is 95+ on metacritic, the price of the switch may go up. Keep it, and if you can't make a profit, return it (given you used best buy or amazon). You have nothing to lose

I'm not sure. I assume so, but I'd check it out on their website. Amazon and best buy are great at that shyt. I bought 4 Fallout 4 Pip-boy editions and couldn't sell em for a profit and just returned them immediately; no questions asked. Flipping shyt is difficult. I think the Zelda: Master edition will be a good flip though. The switch....maybe.

It's incredibly difficult to flip video games unless they're copies of games that are retro and out-of-print. Only in the collector's market can things like that happen, but in this age? No, you can still buy games digitally.

I used to flip games in my broke days. It's tedious to do. I would buy games on clearence at one retailer and trade them into another and I'd buy games on Craigslist and trade them in. The profit margins are very thin. At the most you pick up a couple bucks on any given trade.

There are better ways to make money and get deals. I once bought an Xbox One for $75 on CL and got Microsoft to fix it under warranty then traded it in for $150 at Gamestop doubling my money. I bought eBay gift cards with the Gamestop credit and bought Best Buy gift cards on eBay. I turned that into an Xbox One S which cost me $190 final cost out of pocket.

For all that I saved $75 off the purchase because I got the One S on sale for $270.

If you can sell one at a profit, why not?
a) lowers how much you paid for your switch
b) can be a free accessory
c) can be free games
d) you can just save the money
