my big one is I think Sony will announce a new Ape Escape, and possibly other legacy IP either in remakes or licensing them out.

• A hidden gem will be the wave that the gaming community
• There will be an anticipated game that will flop so badly that it will damage the entire series as a whole
• A game streamer will get ousted for catching a funny case
• A well known game influencer will sadly pass away suddenly
• The gaming market will thrive hard in the East, as western developers will not meet the expectations of gamers
• A new subscription service will be a sigh...."game changer" for sports heads

• We live in the age of nostalgia, to build on my first point i think a few more publishers gonna announce big Legacy IP strategies like capcom and sega have
• I think the “culture wars” shyt will play itself out once something tragic happens. At least the gaming media won’t participate in it after that
• I think Platinum games announces they are done
• I think Ubisoft is sold off to a Tencent or a private equity firm, streaming rights shift back to MS or another publisher
• I think Remedy ends up being acquired or sold off, again Tencent might just buy more shares. Their multipalyer game will flop
• I don’t think any platform holder makes big acquisitions, i think there will be major investments and deals for content made though
• i think Fairgame$ gets cancelled or completely reworked, if its the former the studio is gone
• I think xbox gets a big GOTY nom but not a win
• Xbox finally gets FF7Remake and XVI
• there’s a major shake up or retirement in xbox management, and another restructuring of how gamepass works
• I think Marathon gets delayed again, more of bungie gets absorbed into SIE
• Sony announced two new internal studios, the one from Jason Blundell and the one that took over the bungie IP
• Switch 2 comes out to critical acclaim but sales are softer than switch, people panic
• GTA Hits its target release window of fall 2025
