see the problem is that you think the profile of organized crime and terrorist groups are just the people that make up the leadership. the social indicators that lead to young people in an urban setting joining gangs are the same that lead the foot soldiers in napoli or the middle east to join up. just because they are joining a more politically powerful gang doesn't make them different, they are looking for the same things.

Yeah that's a disingenuous media trope and deflection tactic used to shut down any meaningful discussion. The reality is the truth is too uncomfortable and complex to really talk about or deal with, so "people" would rather denounce disparities in crime statistics to some pseudo intellect rationale, of they do it because they're black.
