anybody out there fans of this cat? dude has got so much hype its fukkin ridiculous. after listening to some of his shyt awhile ago i thought he showed promise but was being overrated a little. (i figured the hendrix comparisons were only because he was black)

but then i saw him live last week!

dude was an AMAZING performer. what a great fukkin guitarist! completely owned the stage. now im on the bandwagon and dont see myself jumping off anytime soon. like most blues acts his music translates better in a live setting then on record but i hope dude at least blows up to like a black keys level.

what do yall think of him?

I remember reading about dude in Rolling Stone magazine. He was being touted as the 'next big thing' for the blues. Dude is talented.

I keep hearing about him, too. I'm trying to go to this concert festival at Merriweather, where he's supposed to be performing. I have to preview his album again before I give an opinion of his music. I liked one of his songs, I know that much.
