ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. – A large alligator has been spotted crossing the road in North Carolina and Topsail Online Gazette posted an image of it to Facebook.
The gator was reportedly seen in Snead’s Ferry in Onslow County on Saturday. No injuries were reported.
“We’re told animal control was called to safely relocate this big boy,” according to the Facebook post by Topsail Online Gazette.
Alligators are found in North Carolina from the northern coast near Virginia to the southern coast near the border of South Carolina.
Alligators have recently been in the news following the tragic death of a 2-year-old Nebraska boy drowned by an alligator in Orlando, Fla.
