Didnt really think about it til I saw it somewhere else, but this season may be weak because damn near everything is revolving around Marie's power and getting stronger.

Yea but Marie stuff sorta played like the b/c story.
S1 had:
Luke going berserk, killing himself and that investigation.
Dealing with the underground lab.
All the gang had their own shyt going on that Marie was dropped into. Emma with controlling her powers, Jordan and her parents, Cate juggling all those secret etc.
Now all they stuff revolves around Marie/cipher and they really dont have much goin on away from that. Some of this may be because how they handled the godolkin/cipher shyt was horrible, especially trying to stretch it out the way they have. There's a path where, if they were better writers, that cipher reveal/twist hit.
I give them a LITTLE grace because I'm sure breh dying forced a partial if not total rewrite, but this season lacked.

Marie is a dumbass she can literally see the V in nikkas, fake cipher had none. She didnt out 2 n 2 together at that point that burnt mute scientist V creating scientist was suspect?
EDIT: the whole plan was retarded, you don't even need to heal the old man...just stop "cipher" which is easily done by just having Polarity go there solo as he isn't affected. Terrible terrible writing

I have no problem with suspension of disbelief in fiction.
