Gen y and gen z downfall=the dangers of an overinflated ego

Gen y and gen z's downfall is a lot of folks are feeling themselves and are cocky for no reason. It also explains why folks are very insecure with themselves. Folks are going way too hard with that attention seeking and clout chasing out here that people are forgetting to know who a person who is secure with themselves looks like anymore. You got people confusing narcissism with confidence. Thats why you got half of these gen y'ers and gen z'ers folks thinking they are entitled to shyt without earning it or doing anything for it. A lot of that shyt is the baby boomers and early gen z faults though for making them like that.

My question is why are so many people in gen y and gen z so cocky or arrogant?

There is a difference between being cocky and being entitled.

Just because a person is cocky doesn’t mean they don’t work hard and have good character in other areas.

Entitled basically comes from being spoiled by being handed things that person did not work for.

Those two things are not one in the same.

I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older that everyone isn’t going to have that cookie cutter humble personality and that’s fine. Sometimes having that cocky person that doesn’t necessarily give AF and is there for you to root against keeps things more interesting. I understand the personality type and think it’s very necessary to keep life balanced.

Nah, for Gen Z's case, they saw what Gen Y went through, and wasnt having none of that bootstraps nonsense. Especially after the Pandemic started and people got a taste of PPP loans and UI.

Gen Y went through the Great Recession of 2007 to 2015 and utterly burnt out for being underemployed and low-balled through shyt wages.

And all of this comes at a time where the Baby Boomers are retiring in the tens of thousands, daily, after March 2020.

Real talk OP a lot of them been babied and pampered. They don't know real struggle like previous generations.

But how can you understand struggle when you got cable, running water, lights, internet, video games and etc.

Breh if we going there so did the great generation, the generation before that. Gen x, millenials and etc.

Or are we gonna pretend cars, coal, oil, destroying species and trees didn't exist before babies boomers (baby boomers didn't create nuclear weapons or start 2 World Wars) or that gen x, millennials and zoomers ain't traveling, spending up energy and killing off species with their lust for food and a certain way of life? Take a look at them electronic land fills all over Asia and Africa or that garbage in space cause of satellites. That ain't because of the lust for electronics due to boomers. Gen x, millenials and zoomers got a lot to do with that and their want for high tech and access to instant communication and entertainment.
