General Help/Volunteer/EOTO Thread

I see a lot of people on here calling each other c00ns, starting this Pseudo McCarthyism Hunt for any one who does"c00n" behavior. The time for talking and infighting is over. it's time to build.

This thread is for brehs to help primary African American community's (mostly youth) by networking with each other in our respective cities. I want to have this grow where for example if there is a black youth football team that's needs a assistant coach or some time of sponsorship we can help them out. If for example there is a kickstarter for a black busines or idea we could put it in this thread.

For example I have connections in Missouri City, Texas and El Paso, Texas for brehs who want to volunteer for after school tutoring. Fort Bend county (briargate and hunter glen) need some Reading and Writibg tutors to help kids with making sure they are grade level.

Underfunded after school programs that are geared towards education.

Book fairs went from three times a year to once.

Lack of parental assistance in regards to homeworking being done/ having there kids read at home with them.

In my opinion it's hard to really see l, each one effects the other. But to be honest the underfunding is one but that is due to th test scores because the better the scores the more funding, so yes it could come from the home at first BUT in some white neighborhoods the MY have the same latch key kids parents working a lot and they still have tutors there (mostly Asian) to help tutor after class if they need help. In most schools in mo city it's just some teenage Mexican or black girl who is on her phone( the "tutor" while the kids are eating hot cheetos chopping on each other waiting for there parents to get them)

missouri city has "two sides"......

......but yea, its the culture.... the culture doesn't put a big emphasis on education.........
