Indian Health Service nominee withdraws
Robert Weaver, President Trump’s pick to lead the troubled Indian Health Service, has withdrawn, the Wall Street Journal reports. The WSJ previously reported that Weaver appeared to have exaggerated his past experience, claiming to have held leadership roles at a Missouri hospital where other employees barely remembered him.

Why it matters: The IHS is in bad shape, and hasn’t had a permanent director since 2015.
