Haven't read the article yet.....but just clean it up.....Controllers are already calling out in high rates due to the shut down.....if it continues into the week, they expect/anticipate the call outs to highly increase.......little to no controllers = means drastically slowing down the rate of traffic.

Airspace the could typically handle 20+ planes in a 15 minute span, might get reduced to 1 or 2 as an example. For safety.




....and now that I've skimmed thru the article they do mention the call outs....I fee like it was a specific decision to leave that out of the headline.

The future of democrats is affordability politics, whether it's Mamdani style or abundance. The future of the republican party is culture wars and immigration. The latter is only viable when the economy is bad under a democrat president. These guys are getting blown out tonight because prices are still high. Trump can distract all he wants by talking about aliens or blowing up boats but it doesn't make people forget they can't walk out of the grocery store without spending $50 on things that used to be $20-30.
