High speed rail would probably be shut the fukk down right now too, since it would likely be managed similar to air travel by the government.
Also, how in the fukk could someone legitimately advocate for an expansive project like high speed rail right now when advocating for something as simple as congresspeople showing up to work and doing anything of actual use is getting nowhere.

They are DESPERATE to have Dem fingerprints on the shutdown or the loss of ACA subsidies.
If anything, Schumer had them hemmed up earlier this year already. He just folded cause the momentum for a shut-down wasn’t fully there yet.
