Aside from general fairness, can someone explain why Trump’s “Portable Mortgage” idea is a bad one?

IMO the problem is that at its core not enough supply is the issue with the housing crisis currently. If people are able to move their same rates to another house all that does is recreate the issue where you had people trying to outbid each other and increasing prices again.
