That dude has been fighting for legalization for years. I remember reading about him like 15 yrs ago.

To be a little more accurate, his beef with the current bill was that it didn't legalize home grown marijuana, which he argued would disproportionately benefit white entrepreneurs, not that the bill left out black owners.

I don't smoke (never have) and haven't sold the shyt in eons, so I don't have much of a personal dog in the race, but it's laughable that the shyt hasn't been decriminalized yet in 2019.
