Horrible qbs have high completion pcts in today's nfl

You're infatuation with Geno is bizzare

People are giving up on him too early. He wasn't supposed to start his rookie year but has improved since, much to the chagrin of Geno haters. If we take a snapshot of Geno's statistics in the last leg of the season, some insights emerge.

1) As things stand with our comparative statistical snapshot, Geno's 60% completion is in good company with some decent QBs and on the cusp of good QBs like Stafford, Luck Wilson, Kaepernick, Flacco, Palmer. All of these QBs have better weapons and lines. Already his numbers resemble Foles in YPA and INT rate (not in TD rate of course), who isn't a "horrible QB".

2) If we extrapolate Geno's numbers to next season with new weapons and a better line, he should register at least 58% completion and likely higher than 60% completion over the season. His INT rate should drop too. The only real question is whether his TD rate will increase. That's a big question.

If Geno cut down on his INTs and scored TDs even half the time the Jets are in the red zone, he'd already be at "good tier" QB level. With more weapons and better protection this can certainly happen. Eli is a veteran and even he puts up horrid numbers without weapons or protection. He literally needs an abundance of both to look like a starting level QB. Geno's scouting report said he needs weapons to succeed.

Breh you should work on Genos PR team

Geno tends to march our team into the red zone a number of times a game whereupon most teams would score more than we do. If we even score TDs on half the times we end up in the red zone, we comfortably win games. That's our close most of our games are and have been. Natural progression and the addition of a line/weapons should give Geno that extra nudge. I don't know people are so negative about this guy. Has he played poorly? Yes. But he's shown definite improvement.

In today's era it's easier to have a higher comp pct

Rg3 has a 69.7 right now

Colt McCoy had like a 72%

Tannahill has a 67.7 which I believe is now the dolphins season record

In this era if your not at least above 62% your below average

It's not saying much anymore
