The Supreme Court gave him the power to get away with anything as long as it's considered an "official act" and he squandered it.

No, the gave the President presumed innocence if it is considered an official act. That matter IN THE COURTS. If a Democrat does it, the courts can take it up. Trump does it? Nothingburger. Anytime that case is mentioned, you have to understand the distinction. It did not mean he can do whatever he wants, it means the court says what is an official act if a case comes to them, which they can decide it doesn't if they determine it to be an official act.

It's like expecting a white and a black man, both open carrying, to be treated the same in an open carry state.
