There are pros and cons to me

People say it's bad some say it's good

Pros: safer, cleaner, schools improve, businesses open up, property value increase if you're a home owner
cons: If you can't afford it, you gotta move
But with less crime comes sacrifices...wouldn't you want to raise your kids in a safe environment? Not have to worry about robberies, killings, shootings...

I hear arguments that "it's wrong to tear down the projects and replace them with high rises and condos"
But let's be honest, you rarely hear of safe, loving projects especially in Chicago. would you want to live in housing projects? Do you even want to visit the Projects? I know i Don't

A negative environment tends to breed negativity. I hear a lot of people complaining about what the hood doesn't have or needs. People dream of moving out of the hood. A lot of people want to go to the burbs because they tend to be "safer, cleaner, schools improve"

It's cheaper and is usually closer or in the city. You know after the world wars white flight took place. Whites fled to the suburbs and African Americans moved to the cities. The almighty dollar is king. Just like outsourcing businesses or products to china. Americans matter of fact...everybody likes the lowest price

I wouldn't even say it's all white. South side Chicago has middle class black business ppl. Even though I'm a white man, I feel at home here
