I adore me some Stern but come on.

Carlin u had to catch him when ever he did a special. Howard on the other hand was 4 sometimes 5 hours a day for 5 days a week in the 80's, 90's 2000's and the now. Howard gets the edge because he was bringing gut busting humor 5 days a week since as long as I can remember and he still is doing it. Carlin in my opinion didnt really become that dude until the late 80's...His style was different during his '7 words you cant say on TV' era....But once the late 80's hit he really developed in my opinion. I think it was the cocaine which was no longer in his system....He was a better comedian off the coke. Carlins last HBO special is a classic and dude was in his early 70's and still able to hold it down. Also..I found Howards books more humorous then Carlins...Private Parts the movie is a classic yet i cant think of one movie George Carlin was the star of that was a smash. Also....Howard had a TV show on channel 9 and E that was cutting edge. George Carlins early 90's TV show on FOX was cool...But it wasnt fukkin with any of teh TV shows Howard had. This is my small breakdown of why Howard edges Carlin as being the funniest whiteman of our era.
