George Foreman vs Ron Lyle (1976) was the GOAT heavyweight fight.

Razor was a game as they come and Tyson showed incredible toughness(mentally and physically) to dig down and win those fight despite taking some hellacious shots. Fights are glossed over due to Mike getting the bs charges not long after and then Razor getting annihilated by Lennox. By that time, Razor was damaged goods as a direct result of his two wars with Iron Mike
Razor the only fighter who thought it was a good idea to slug it out with a prime Tyson for 12 rounds..that rematch was vicious for both guys

True indeed. Everyone else pretty much wanted to jab/keep distance, clinch and attempt to spoil. Razor went put slugging. You are so right!! Although Mike emerged victorious, no one talks about the lasting effect those two battles had on him

Fight of the Century and Thrilla in Manila are probably my top 2 HW fights

Similar to Foreman-Lyle, Moorer-Cooper was another great back and forth short HW brawl

Liakhovich-Brewster is my choice for the best 21st century HW fight. Incredible sustained action.

I haven’t seen some of Ruddock’s earlier bouts (like Mike Weaver). But apparently after the Bonecrusher Smith and Mike Dokes knockouts, he fell in love with his power. Always looking to land The Smash.

He landed an huge one at the end of the 6th and Tyson’s mouthpiece went flying.

Tyson broke Ruddock’s jaw, shut one of his eyes, and his bodyshots were brutal. During one sequence in the 10th round, you can see Ruddock’s face grimace in pain.
