Talk about a FLOP.

:mjlol:

Edit:

The production budget for Blue Beetle amounted to a modest $104 million. In the usual scenario, a film must generate double its production budget to achieve a break-even point. By applying this principle to Blue Beetle, the film would require global earnings of around $208 million to recover its costs and break even. For Blue Beetle to be deemed a success, it would need to finish its run around $300 million.

*Marketing for blockbusters usually matches the production cost. So they spent $208M on a movie that’s sitting at $50M.

:dahell: how about promoting the movie without any black events what a dumbass... always trying to add black issues peoples or events for clout:scust:
Whole hispanic casted movie and he doesnt reach out to HIS people about it...:mjpls:

Lol he technically CAN’T promote the movie because of the Actor’s strike so this is him trying to be sleek

He needs to read the room though. Wasn’t NO latinos or Mexicans out there defending the black men and women who bravely risked their lives fighting against those white supremacists so he shouldn’t even JOKINGLY try to insert himself or his movie into it.

And his standup always talks about how racist his grandparents were so he needs to tread lightly with black folk

I saw "Blue Beetle" last week, and feel asleep for about a minute or two. Don't know if it was something I ate, or if I watched one long fight scene too many. But I still wasn't tryna see "Barbie". The only Black movie out was "Back on the Strip", and I'm not up to seeing a bunch of brothers shaking their a**. Like what the f*** kinda brainwashing is Hollywood tryna do? It seems like ever since "The Blackening", they've been tryna black us outta the movies. And if you do see a brother or sister, it's always pointing towards some kind of interracial relationship, whether they form one or not. Like what's the purpose of that? But that's been going on.

Although it wasn't a whole lot, I was surprised that many Black people even showed up to see "Blue Beetle" last week. All these movies are beginning to feel the same to me lately, especially these super-hero movies, so I got a little bored. I didn't even recognize George Lopez, that's how little I ever watched him. I may have found the movie a little more amusing if these latinos weren't always trying to get everything we get, or tryna still it, or always envying what we worked hard to get. That mindset is no better than the PWT mindset.

Anyway, this week they're opening with "Jurassic Park", and I mean the original :comeon:. Last week they opened with "Beauty and the Beast" :comeon:. You can stream these movies at home. Looks like Hollywood really is struggling. Anyway, all these lackluster movies coming out, right when I found a way to get my large popcorn and large drink without dealing with that rude concession staff...and the popcorn be fresher. While I admit my visits have all been incident free lately because of this, they now all of a sudden hired all these nice looking tenderonis on their concession staff...it figures :comeon:

Anyway, the only movie out that seems interesting , is "birth/rebirth". But it only shows once, and that's in the early afternoon. Now that I mentioned it, and it's only 1:30pm, I may just go catch it :umad:

Don't waste your money on this one either, even though it had good Fango ratings. Them showing it only once a day in the afternoon, should have been a red-flag. However the film did have some potential.

Should have stuck to my plans, which was to wait until around 9 or 9:30 pm, open my big bag of "Skinny Popcorn", grab a jar of watermelon juice that I juiced yesterday, go on the back porch, and stream some movies that I missed.
