And yet, in spite of these attempts to obstruct the vote, blatant efforts to place hurdles in the way of black people on the path to exercising that right, they will probably fail. Like stubborn parents who resist the curiosity of their children, lecturing them about the birds and bees and the dangers of sipping a Budweiser, the Republicans will fail to stop a determined electorate that will come out to vote.
