Gerald Green has the all the necessary phyiscal attributes to be an elite NBA player, good height, good wingspan, good speed, amazing leaping ability. But why hasn't all these physical gifts translated to success on the court? I think this picture should explain some of it:

He says he can't palm a basketball, so it for sure affects his dunks, imagine all the highlights we could've witnessed :ohlawd:. It also must affect his shooting and ball handling as well. For all we know we might've lost out on a great player because of a finger injury he sustained as a child. Here is an article with more info,

Kobe cant palm a ball and his fingers have been mangled for years and that hasn't stopped him from balling out every year. So Gerald has no one to blame but himself for not reaching star status. It's got more to do with him not wanting it mentally more then it being because of his hands or fingers. But losing half a finger is a bytch though.

Of Course Kobe can palm the ball (see the image below), and I don't consider a couple of temporary finger injuries on the same level as missing most of your finger. I think the finger issue played a significant part, but their could've been other issues as well.

I could have sworn Kobe said he couldn't palm a basketball some time back. So either he was lying or his hands grew.

nah, Kobe can palm a bball he just doesnt have huge hands like MJ or Lebron or Dr. Jr, etc.

and Gerald Green is NOT a top 5 NBA talent. He isnt good. Just because he can jump high doesn't mean he a great NBA player.

so you mean to tell me Gerald Green didn't have the talent to be a top 5 player?? :beli:

All he had was the athleticism. His draft stock dropped because of his low Bball IQ and low work ethic during workouts.

He was an absolutely atrocious defender during his Boston years. Still pretty bad to this day.
