I quit a job the day before thanksgiving because the boss said I had to work. Came back early January to get my last paycheck and told him I had a good holiday season and took the last month and half off to spend time with the fam, then asked him what he been up to.:lolbron:

Pretty sure a regular member of staff put that up there for clout.

Most places that require people to work in that period have a rota. Any employer with sense wouldn't provoke their employees like that.

That being said, it could be true as certain professions create incompetent managers.

That’s every year for retail. I work in sales and on the flip side this is where we see our highest commission checks so folks know what time it is.

Not saying I agree.

A few Floors Down from the Daily Grind
Imma date myself, but I used to work at Circuit City as a young dude.

You knew you were gonna work 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hour days for 2 months going in…but you made Commission on them sales, so you could make 3-4 months of regular sales in 3 weeks, so they had to pull you off the floor and bring in food all day in the break room, paid for by the company.

My first December, I made like $5k in Commission alone, and that was a long ass time ago, so it is probably the equivalent of like $8-9k in today money.

That shyts worth the no days off in my mind.
