I got a patna thats been divorced almost two years...he was married for almost 5, no kids. Niccas set him up with chicks...he dont want em. Invite him out to clubs, bars, parties ect. He says he's coming...but always flakes....all he does is chill at the crib by himself.....but the real sad part is, he says he's thinking about buying a cat. His crazy ass ex put him through hell now he's on some "fucc the world" shyt. No man should allow a female to put them on status and fucc up their spirit like this. Especially after they have their freedom back to do what ever the hell they want...I dont get it.

Man: I quit my job. I got a job in an insurance company and I didn't sign up for bowling. The guys have found a replacement for me.
Woman: I've contacted a lawyer already. We're getting a divorce.

Seriously though, just be a brother to him. I feel like we all need a brother sometimes and sometimes we must be our brothers keeper. Keep letting him know he's welcome to chill with y'all. But let him know you're there for council too.

He'll come around. Sometimes when you give so much of yourself in a relationship that when it fails, it takes all the energy youve given it for years back, all at once. It will take time for him to level up again. If thats your breh, understand that and keep him in your thoughts. It doesnt take shyt out your day to tell him you want him to pop out with you. He might not do it but the gesture however it may seem, will never go unnoticed. Its like telling a nikka that tore his ACL to come hoop with you right after surgery.

Agreed, OP needs to make the dude realize he has a new start with no real bagagge outside of the failure of the marriage. 2 years is too long at this point.
