Beach House is one of my favorite bands period. I'll admit. I was struggling at first with the speed and cadence of the Devotion album but about five listens it clicked. Been a stan ever since. Lover of Mine, Walk In The Park, Gila, Other People, Irene, etc. They just go in.

I was mad as hell when the Weeknd (No E like Mollywatr ) used all those Beach House samples on his mixtapes and people who didn't know Beach House were as if The Loft was the most innovative shyt they had ever heard.

I appreciate that the Weeknd knows what's up and is a Beach House fan too. I just wish other folks would give them their due.

Gila is the song Weeknd sampled for The Loft. It's on the Devotion album. Would post the song but I'm getting an error message for some reason.

Teen Dream is a masterpiece There are literally no bad tracks on that album. Are the albums before that any good? Cause I didnt start fukking with them until Teen Dream came out. I never went back and checked out their older stuff before.

Yes Teen Dream was top 20 album of the year in 2010 in all genres. http://www.albumoftheyear.org/ratings/overall/2010/

The two albums before that are harder to get into that the last 2 (Teen Dream and Bloom). The songs are really slow (like 40 bpm !!!). But the genius sound composition is still there though, but it takes some time to get used to. Once you get used to it, it's great.

Yeah, they're a dope band. When G-Side sampled them in one of they're tracks, was when I discovered them.

Devotion might be my favorite album from them, but it might change since they have great catalog overall.
