Ghetto Fabulous? Livin in the projects and own a 60" flat screen

I hear the argument in reference to the decline of the American economy and culture (specifically targeted at low income black communities) .

One argument is poor folks gettin over on the system, by accepting govt help and living in govt housing but own flat screen visios and shyt. They claim its not poverty if you got expensive shyt in your crib using a comparison to 3rd world country poverty where people literally don't hav a pot to piss in etc.

I understand the point they're tryin to make but to me ain nothing wrong with owning nice shyt no matter where you live or your income level. We can't expect people whom live on the govt titty not to own nice shyt.

There's nikkas in college dorms with 50" screens man...poverty is what you make of it, if you don't have nothing, you're poor.....if you save up and buy a tv and still have nothing, you're poor with a really nice tv....Living off the gov't for a while can get you that

Some say that's not poor since people are so into pawning being the last resort...but in America if you're not a drug addict or recovering drug addict, or suffering from a gambling addiction...you can be poor and still have nice shyt to boost your self esteem...That's not ghetto, it's just wanting the finer things in life at a price.
