I just listened to the whole thing.

This was a great fukking interview.

If you start at the 30:00 mark where he talks about mandating certain things on games is not a good idea.
- the Breh sounds genuine.

I like dude, he seems to really be a game lover who became a developer who became the boss of Xbox and is moving it in the right direction.

He also indicated that the Xbox X is just like the elite controller - not for everyone. And he definitely expects the S to sell more and does not see that as a loss.

Consoles have caught up to PC, well, console has. Anyone that has a 1080 or less lost

He said the Xbox One X is "true 4K" so what does that mean? He specifically called out a direct competitor for using software trickery to reach 4K and said the One X is not that.

The problem lies with your lack of understanding what true 4k is, and that upsets you (insert Tim the toolman grunt here) what's that? A dev decided to use checkerboard for its 4k? I heard PS4pro uses that method, so the more powerful XB1X is now NOT a true 4k system

This checkerboard technique is used everywhere including on PC at times but nobody is knocking PC when it uses temporal filtering because it's not a technique discussed amongst fanboys/internet know-it-alls who claim they neutral which is a code word for neutered

If the hardware was powerful enough to run a game that looks like that at native 4K are you suggesting a developer would elect to run the game at checkerboard 4K instead? Checkerboard 4K is a compromise because the hardware doesn't reach native 4K.

Nobody buys say a 1080 ti and runs games at 720p on it just for kicks. If the power is there it will get used. If it's not there settings and resolution gets turned down until things are acceptable.

How bout you slow your roll give this 6tflop beast a chance to get acclimated with Developers before you cast final judgement on its potential. You could go off of what developers are saying but that wouldn't yield the results you guys want

Show me a link to a quote of Donald Trump saying he doesn't like black people, I'm saying what I'm saying because DEVELOPERS indirectly speak on everything. We've discussed these exact topics at nauseum on this site. You acting like you wasn't here then wanting me to track down links with Developers grandmother's and photo id's, I'm not doing all that.
