She pays about $180 a week to rent a car through Uber’s partnership with Avis and spends about $90 on gas a week. She works five to six days a week from 7.30am to 6pm. She claimed the gig companies had changed base pay
This is hustling backwards if i ever saw it. A 10k electric or hybrid honda from 2015 has a monthly payment of 200 per month.

This crazy woman is paying $720 a month to rent a car and she out here complaining about her pay:mjlol:

Some things like labor rights shouldn't be up for referendum. For example, if America was legislated by a direct democracy, black people would in SERIOUS trouble. It would lead to the tyranny of the majority over the minority.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
Like I said before, the only way these rideshare companies will raise their pay is if there is a shortage in drivers.

1. fewer people will sign up and/or current drivers will stop working.

2. driver criteria will be expanded making it harder for anyone with a car and clean license to sign up.

When Uber first came out, they had to pay workers well in order to build their brand and operations. That’s not the case any longer. But people sign up thinking they can do that shyt as their main 9 to 5.

Watching people do these struggle jobs always makes me think more people need to try and get into sales.

The biggest idiot with no qualifications can get into the field and if they do well they’ll pull in more than most Americans in less than a year. Especially in California where they have the bulk of software companies who are always hiring for entry level SDR roles.

It’s not easy but it’s a better grind than this gig economy bs.

The are contractors.
Don’t want that 1099 life then dont pursue a 1099 job.

they're employees, 1099 contractors make their own rates.

uber having their cake and eating
no payroll tax, no social security, no insurance

uber and lyft are cab companies that don't follow the rules

the politicians and judges won't reign them in, must be getting kickbacks

Misleading statement. That has nothing to do with 1099 status. The market sets the rate.

An gig work is a hustle, a second job, shouldnt be something we depend on like a full time salary job..although you can make big money doing it.
