Great podcast in general - outside of this episode he gives you insight on his career and some of the politics that get played in the nba. Episode 3 he talked about how nikkas get snubbed from the all star game. Said if same Lillard talked shyt he would be an all star and getting all types of accolades. Can’t say I disagree

:ehh:

No more amazing than the next pro ball player

I see what you saying but Gil’s approach is a lot more blunt and loose(nh) which adds to the entertainment value and makes it more watchable...

I didn't get the part when he said Kawhi can load up and jump on 2 feet when going one direction but not the other. What's stopping him from doing the same thing?
In my opinion it's due to what hand Kawhi contests shots with. Most people's natural instincts is to contest with their dominant hand.. So if you get Kawhi moving to his right and go up for a shot his right hand it already right there in front of him to go straight up and contest. If you get him moving to his left to contest he has to take that extra step to contest across his body with the right hand which is all the room most shooters need to get the shot off.

He was dropping all kinds of details. I loved the part of him talking about the Warriors suppressing his stats so that he didn't outplay the contract that they could afford. Him admitting to the Warriors wanting him to sign a long term contract big money contract that they'd keep hidden for a year and in return him signing the one year deal for the cheap. Pointing out how teams will offer cars and the like that's not a part of the contract. Him being told no matter how well he played he's going to the bench if they drafted I think Jay Williams.

Yep and didn’t even end up with that draft pick. Whole golden state stint sounds hilarious tho. Mookie blaylock in his golf shoes cursing out the coach. That contract shyt was gem for the young players on how not to get fukked they can tell you anything but if it’s not in writing you are an idiot. Sn: I bet Larry Hughes really fukking hates Gil right about now. He got fukked twice by him (inadvertently) in golden state and Washington lol
