Alijah Arenas, a five-star basketball recruit and son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas, was involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on April 23, 2025. The accident involved his Tesla Cybertruck crashing into a tree and fire hydrant. Following the crash, Arenas was transported to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma due to smoke inhalation. He was later taken out of the coma and is now recovering.
