Gimmie some tips for selling on craigslist...

How do you do it? May seem like a stupid fukkin question, but everything I list gets immediately lost in the shuffle. Granted, ive only posted non essential shyt like sports memorabilia and toys, but i barely ever get a responce.

Also, how do I bypass the limit? I cant post the same article in multiple located, craigslist calls me out.

I'd list on ebay, but its so bogged down in fake bullshyt, that my stuff would just get lost there too, and it costs money to post.

school me, I'm sure some of you guys have techniques to get noticed. spread the knowledge.

GET THEIR LICENSE PLATE NUMBER IF YOU CAN.(YES I WILL PAY TO HAVE A LOOKUP DONE ON YOUR CAR IF YOU TRY TO PLAY ME)
AIM HIGH ON YOUR PRICE BY ABOUT 20-30 BUCKS THEN LET THEM HAGGLE YOU DOWN. THEY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE GETTING A DEAL.
DON'T SPAM. PEOPLE WILL SKIP OVER YOUR shyt JUST FOR THAT REASON.
CALL PEOPLE SELLING SIMILAR ITEMS AND SEE IF HOW FAR DOWN YOU CAN HAGGLE THEM OVER THE PHONE. THAT IS YOUR COMPETITION.
ALSO POST LIKE YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE FOR SALE. SO WHEN PEOPLE TALK shyt ABOUT THE PRICE YOU LET THEM KNOW YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM SELLING FOR YOUR PRICE.

man i sell on CG like its nothing...My ads get answered within the first 3 hours...Just do a very good description of what your selling and add pics...Look at similar items that are being sold and beat that price....If you wanna sale something for $60 up it to $70 to give room to haggle with....I sold my Wii with 6 games for $250 even though there was one for $90 with 4 games....

tips

have a price you wont go below and list it like 15-20 higher
take clear pictures
meet in a public place unless its something like a fridge etc.
only take cash not cheques
always mention sold as is
i always mention i have someone else who is coming later take it or leave it

that having a listing price above your target is the absolute truth
don't put a post out there saying asking for offers, they will think you are just phishing
sell to people who are somewhat traceable on the internet, people who's email accounts you can back track. .edu addresses, company emails, people using their real name
only meet at the place you want to meet - mcdonalds parking lot

if you are selling something obscure, you will probably have to use ebay or amazon - they sell much much faster for somethings there.

i been back on Craigslist trying to sell a few things and its a bytch. Craigslist is basically full of a$$holes and broke people who are only willing to pay say a quarter on the dollar of what something is actually worth. i put my old soundbar on there cause i upgraded. Yamaha YAS101 sells for $250 in stores. mine is in brand new type condition and i listed it for $110 and some a$$hole text me talking about yeah i'll buy it but you gotta drive an hour to bring it to me so i can plug it up to my TV and test it. i told him i'd meet him half way and he said he'd get back to me and never did.

it kills me to see people try to sell high ticket non-hot items on Craigslist like top of the line TVs and home theater systems. i see them pop up on there from time to time with people asking for over $1000 for a Sony XBR or some shyt. nobody gonna pay you that kinda money on Craigslist for a 40 inch TV even if it is an XBR. Craigslist it the kinda place you go to sell shyt you're just looking to dump off for cheap just to get rid of it. list something for fair market value and watch the crickets chirp.

Take good pictures, have a local number (via google voice) & never give an option for people to haggle the price. Let all that shyt happen in person. If you have a post that says or best offer etc no one is going to deal with it. Make it seem like selling it isnt a big deal even if it is.
