Do you know how many times a day these girls re-do those stupid looking edges? They take toothbrushes and gel to school with them and go to the bathroom to “refresh.””

They carry pocket mirrors to check them while in class.

It isn’t the style it is the lifestyle that accompanies the hairstyle.

Not to mention it leads to bullying and fights. Girls with nappier hair have to work harder to get “the look”.

Totally agree with the school and I wish more parents paid attention to the baby hair lifestyle and encourage their daughters to not participate.

Yep. They’re not inspired by Josephine Baker, nor do they even know who she is. Look at how Gabby Douglas was treated for not having laid edges. What they want is soft hair or good hair, the type they associate with ppl who are mixed. That's why if you have baby hair naturally, they accuse you of being mixed.
