He wasn't the best lyrically
His flow wasn't amazing
He had meaning in his songs which I'll give to him, but that just doesn't hold up

He's a legend of course, but no GOAT

What you got brehs?:dwillhuh:

I could probably give 100's, here's a quick 5...

1: He has many incredible elite level classic songs, songs like Dear Mama, Keep Ya Head Up, Unconditional Love are some of Hip Hop's/music's greatest songs. When you really look at all of his GREAT songs it's amazing.

2: He was a great songwriter and lyricist, he was POTENT with his lyricism and delivery, his shyt could HIT you in a very powerful way cause of his artistry.

3: His subject matter was extremely diverse, he touched on so many topics, the hood shyt, to relationships, clubs, family, extremely personal shyt, paranoia, everything.

4: He had 1 of, if not the GOAT Hip Hop voice.

5: He utilized so much flavour in his songs, he was entertaining to listen to, if you really pay attention to all the flavour and inflections he put in it's remarkable.

Bonus:

6: He was a poetic writer, he put himself in numerous perspectives articulated and articulated that from first person and even as a narrator too.

7: He was a student of the game, so he studied rappers like KRS, Scarface, Cube and so on and incorporated some of their elements into his style to create an amazing blend.

8: He poured his heart into his music and wasn't afraid of getting extremely personal or vulnerable, he was real with his music.

9: In his short time being alive he made 4 classics, high calibre work at that, had a phenomenal run and even had great music released long after his death.

10: He had compassion in his heart and it translated to his music, he was trying to connect with people and give game through his music, his music is valuable and timeless because of the game and jewels it is littered with. He is immortal, he will always be remembered and loved because of how deeply he touched and influenced people.

@The Ruler 09 :salute: let me add to that bruh

11. He made a classic album with no name producers (Makaveli)

12. He is one of the EXTREMELY FEW rappers whose music was LITERALLY the soundtrack to his life. That's why if you weren't fukking with Pac in 95, aint nothing I can tell ya in 2015

13. He joined the hottest record label in the world, embraced their sound, and dropped a classic without being out of place or akward. Contrast this, with for example Snoop joining No Limit

14. Speaking of Snoop, Pac joined DR and made aerguably the hottest rapper in the world second fiddle :pachaha:

15. He dropped a double album that had like 90% classics, in TWO WEEKS

16. He showed incredible progression as an artist (contrast his albums chronologically)

17. Everyone of his albums had a completely different sound and vision and it was still exceptional quality

18. He was an ARTIST, meaning he was singing hooks, picking samples, giving engineers instructions, humming baselines etc. He wasn't just walking into studios laying down 16s

19. He was genuine, meaning his music wasn't manufactured. This is a man who NEVER RE-DID a song, all of his shyt was ONE TAKE only

20. He dissed Bill Clinton and spit game at ya bytch on the same verse :ohlawd:

Crispness

"I thought 'cause I was raw, and I had talent in my heart. I wasn't...
I never thought I was necessarily the best rapper, the best nothing - i'm the realest nicca out there.
I do think that. I think I own that. If I could package it, I think I own that...

I think being real is just being true...it's just being real.
I don't have no insecurities - I do, but I take my insecurities and, show everybody.
You know like my mom, and my life, and me being little, I just be harder - be fearless, and whatever happens happens.
That's why I take these niccas' hearts."
