This ended well, but could just as easliy have been a case of nosey white karen calls cops on family because she didn't mind her own business.

most of the evidence of abuse appears to be stuff they found out after questioning and investigating. not anything that happened in the restaurant. The kid even told her he was fine at first, how did she know he was being tied up at home? Story is missing a lot of context

I read it fakkit, seems she saw him not eating and assumed he was being abused. My brother used to do that because he was a picky eater. Said he also had scratches on him. Same with me when i was a kid because i played a lot outdoors and liked to climb trees. Like i said this could've just as easily been a nosey Karen. Fortunately this turned out to be real abuse

SMH. The video literally said he had bruises on his arms and face and they weren't feeding him.

The article clearly said there were signs of bruises and scratches and the parents made the boy sit alone and he was the only one not eating.

Like i said, Circumstantial. but fortunately she was correct. Myself personally ,I would have had to have witnessed actual abuse going on before i called the cops. I'm not gonna guess and hope i get it right.

Look, i get where you're coming from. This was a good deed and you want to give her her flowers. no problem with that.

Me personally though i don't want to encourage this behavior because i've been on the other end of it.
And No i don't abuse my daughter, but she is biracial and i am black, and i have had situations like this where a white person sees us together without her mother and approach her (not us, but her) to make sure she is ok. I have had cops called for welfare checks. I just don't believe this behavior is coming from a place of heroism but from nosy white people getting too involved in other peoples affairs.

This woman did not witness any abuse, she didn't see them breaking the law, she just called the cops off a hunch like white folks often do and this time luckily made the right call. I wonder how many times shes' done this and been wrong though.

:snoop: y’all just want to argue
I admit i am a fan of debating.
But Look, i know you understand my point, because you don't keep this same energy whenever Karen's call the cops on other people they suspect of crimes but turn out to be wrong. Otherwise you would be in those threads saying 'better safe than sorry' calling the cops on that real estate broker was justified because he could've been a burger. In fact that thread about Ryan Coogler in the bank proves my point. In that thread i said i understood why the teller found him sus because he was dressed like a bank robber and passing notes, but calling the cops on him was a bit much, still got negged.

I’ll never understand how people can abuse and mistreat their own child or sit by and allow someone else to do so.

I (rightfully) fussed and raised my voice at my daughter a few days ago and then got in the car and cried my whole way to work like a little bytch. :snoop: :mjlol: I just don’t get it.

Anyway, I’m so glad that this waitress noticed the signs and followed her instincts. No child should have to live that way. Prayerfully, they find a loving/safe home.
