One of those movies that I have to watch whenever it’s on TV, doesn’t matter what part it starts at. The entire first Coliseum fight from the buildup, to Maximus giving Commudus that ether to all the slaves chanting his name along with that musical score is just masterful filmmaking. One of my favorite sequences in any film. Ridley was in the zone
