Other than that, anyone who knows hiphop knows how intertwined it was with college back in the days. Magazines, radio stations, even studios, shows, how rappers met and more.

Like Russell met Kurtis Blow in college and Kurtis convinced him to learn about this new thing back in the 70s.

Also if we talking Cali even fools like Suge Knight went to college, Pac didn’t go but he took poetry classes, which was the start of his career basically

College radio was big when it came to breaking hip hop artists especially in early 90s.
