This show always struck me as white supremacist propaganda in a candy coating. Most people couldn’t see past the singing and colorful cinematography to take a critical look. The black and “minority” characters were always portrayed as “flawed” and in need of a white savior. When the show finally casted a black male in the ensemble they threw every “nikkas ain’t shyt” trope in his character development. “Your 7 different kids by 7 different women”
