people either are deliberately obtuse or blind to why trump won these "working class" whites. when republican candidates talk around race they are alienating these people and not motivating them to vote because to them it's "if you're not openly expressing our beliefs on race, why the fukk would i vote for you when you for damn sure aren't for me economically? i might as well stay home." and they aren't some small minority either, they are at least 1/3 of eligible voters.

Wow, I grew up in the area and I know exactly where that plant is located… It’s always surreal to see your town outside of local news.
Anyway, this is disgraceful but not surprising. There are a lot of rural areas around Toledo that are within 45 minutes of the city proper. There's a large contingent of people who fly the confederate flag and they have meager ties to the south if any at all. I'm not blaming it on all on rural folks, I've dealt with bullshyt in affluent Ottawa Hills, but there's a bunch of trash up there.
You should post this in TLR. They love to hate him for dancing for Hillary Clinton like it’s the summation of his career.
