GMOGMedia.tv: How long have you been in the game as a DJ and working with artists on an independent scale in the industry?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I first started to take my career serious at the age of 17 and from there i have been developing a crazy buzz in the streets and on the internet. So far it’s been two years i made alot happen in so little time everything is coming along good right now. I have been working with artists since the beginning of my career i am always looking for great talent to work with.
GMOGMedia.tv What is your age?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I am 19 but in a couple months i will be 20.
GMOGMedia.tv: Who are some of the artists you work with currently?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I manage two artists that go by the name Chox-Mak and J Paq i have been managing them for a while we are all picking up our names heavily right now. I also work with Trel Mack who is an up and coming recording artists from Philly i am signed to his independent label with the co-owner Q The Question. We all have alot of projects in the works in a matter of time we will be everywhere.
GMOGMedia.tv: What software and hardware do you use for DJing?
DJ YRS Jerzy: Right now i use Virtual DJ but I can basically use any type of software but Virtual DJ is my favorite one to use. There are alot of programs out there that i would use but i feel like Virtual DJ is one of the best for me. You can do everything on there and i like that you don’t even need turntables to get what you need done.
GMOGMedia.tv: Who are some artists you would like to work with that you haven’t worked with independently and/or mainstream?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I would like to work with anyone who is on their grind as long as you have a great work ethic it really does’t matter. I would definitely work with anyone who can also help build a brand with. I have plenty artists i would like to work with i just have to focus on my artists right now and the artists who are on the come up with me.
GMOGMedia.tv: Name some of your influences in the game and how much of it developed your style as a DJ?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I am influenced by Funk Master Flex and DJ Drama they both brought different aspects to the game that i feel the game was missing. I feel like i have alot to bring to the game and this is just the beginning of a great career. As much as i am influenced by them i don’t feel like they have developed my style i do my own thing and i have been getting great feedback for the different techniques i bring to underground hip-hop.
GMOGMedia.tv: I understand you have mixtape projects that you work on. What are the mixtapes that you have out currently and what are some projects that you have coming out in the near future?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I hosted over 40 mixtapes and i am currently working on “Talented Minds” with Q The Question the Co-Owner of SKE Records which is the label i’m signed to. I have alot of projects coming with my artists Chox-Mak and J Paq i’m just ready to get all this good music out.
GMOGMedia.tv: What goals would you like to accomplish in the next 5 years?
DJ YRS Jerzy: I would like to have the artists i manage mainstream and be on top of the rap game as one of the biggest DJ’s. I’m just looking forward to everything that i have planned taking off so i’m just going to keep grinding and see where all my hard work takes me.
